One wish for Visual Studio

A cherry-picking option. Visual Studio’s IDE and profiling/analysis tools are really kick-butt. We’re using the Intel Compiler, however, so we don’t need the MSVC compiler. And at $5k for the premium package, you have to start questioning what you pay for.

What we want is the IDE + Debug/Profiling tools. The other $4k worth of features … we don’t want/need.

I’m sure a lot of dev teams will make the same call, and Windows will be the worse for it because software isn’t developed to the same high quality.

Yes, you could argue the same about the Unit Testing etc, but that just argues for more purchasing options :)
